Each applicant is eligible to submit one video and one written entry in each of the following categories:

BEST JOURNALISM FROM A CONFLICT ZONEUkrainian conflict: combat coverage
A news report, or continuing news coverage, essay or documentary.Submissions are expected to put the spotlight on the complexities and ramifications of the conflict. -
BEST HUMANITARIAN JOURNALISMUkrainian conflict: humanitarian coverage
A news report, or continuing news coverage, essay or documentary focusing on the conflict's effect on communities, whether immediately following the conflict or dealing with multi-year trauma, and tell the stories of people who were affected.
Written
- maximum 5 articles on one subject, totaling 10,000 words or less, published in print or online media, including independent platforms.
- maximum 5 pieces on one subject, totaling 60 minutes or less, published online or broadcast on air, including independent platforms.
